DescriptionDouble slide. Technical description: silver-plated brass, with the plating absent from the lower end of the bell section, c 240mm. Double slides, with different bore in each of the four legs; two siphon water-keys. Overall size: 1179; bell 174. Sounding length: minimum 4829. Bore: at c 40mm from mouthpiece receiver (minimum bore) 9.6; 1st descending slide 11.65; 1st ascending slide 12.05; 2nd descending slide 12.35; 2nd ascending slide 13.0; joint 14.1. m.t.s. bore, 15.0 (both legs). at c 654mm from bell end, 18.25; at 20.4mm from bell end, 109.9. B = 0.62. Bell cutoff = 900 Hz. Dia of mouthpiece receiver: m.r.t 13.2 - 11.6. Inscribed on bell "LEGION D'HONNEUR" within ribbon / laurel wreath enclosing "J.T.L." / "Qte. SUPre." / row of seven medals with lettering mainly illegible but including "PARIS" / "JEROME / THIBOUVILLE LAMY / Fr. de l'Armée / BREVETÉ / s.g.d.g. / 68 r Réaumur / PARIS / A.O".
