DescriptionTechnical description: Brass with german silver mouthpipe, stays, garland, drums, touches, ferrules, main bow guard etc. Two coils plus smaller loop. Valve type: 3 rotary valves with drum clock springs; valve throw limited by shaped stops on valve levers and guides on rotor spindles. Overall size: 475; bell 161. Sounding length: minimum 2700. Bore: at c 50 from mouthpiece receiver (minimum bore), 11.5; not expanding in 100mm; distance to valve casing 130, v.t.s. bore 12.2; m.t.s. bore 12.2 - 13.2 (gradual transition along bow of tuning slide, approximate distance 113); at 1350mm from bell end, c 14.9; at c 768mm from bell end, 21.1; at 12.5mm from bell end, 110.7. B = 0.64. Bell cutoff = 1200 Hz. Dia of mouthpiece receiver: m.r.t. 12.1 - 11.7. Inscribed on bell garland "E.F. Cerveny & So in Koniggrätz".
