Technical description: silver-plated brass; two main tuning-slides; water-key and fitting for music card holder. Valve type: 3 Perinét valves with copper-plated pistons; top sprung by tension spring inside hollow stem; alignment by key on one end of spring anchor bar. Maker: Boosey & Co. London. 1925 1926. Serial number: instrument 124269; valves 97481. According to the firm's archives [instruments books], the instrument was "Bb Cornet" Model A6b made by W. Morley in a batch of 12. Overall size: 325; bell 120. Bore: m.t.s.(1) 11.7; [m.t.s.(2) stuck]; v.t.s.(3,2,1) 11.7. Dia of mouthpiece receiver: shank receiver taper 11.6 10.7. Inscribed on bell "N.V.A." within rectangle / "``SOLBRON'' / (REGISTERED) / CLASS A" / trumpet and banner trademark incorporating "TRADE MARK" and "BOOSEY" / "BOOSEY & CO. LTD. / MAKERS, LONDON / S / 124269 / British Throughout"; on side of 2nd valve casing: trumpet and banner trademark incorporating "TRADE MARK" and "BOOSEY" / "97481"; on side of valve casings, stems, top and bottom caps "28", "29", "30".
