Technical description: Silver-plated brass. With 2 main tuning-slides. Leadpipe enters 3rd valve casing at the right; 3rd valve loop leaves from 15° left of front and returns to 15° left of front; 1st valve loop leaves from right and returns to 15° right of back. bellpipe exits 1st valve casing at 15° left of back. With single water-key; fitting for music card holder. Valve type: 3 Périnet valves, top-sprung by tension spring inside tubular upper stem; alignment by unequal lugs on spring plate. Bar type key pressing valve tension spring. Sprung from pistons to key bar. Repair History: Old Philharmonic pitch, converted to low pitch; 1st and 3rd valves extended for low pitch; this is done by loose rings and is therefore reversible.
