DescriptionTechnical description: Ebonised light wood with silver ferrules and keywork. Five pieces: mouthpiece, barrel, upper section, lower section, bell. Clarinet omnitonique (extra upper section in A; rack and pinion to extend lower section 10mm between F₃/C₅ and F♯₃/C♯₅ tone-holes with a tuning slide of silver). Upper section: barrel and upper section inseparable. Speaker key lever link passes round bore, chimney. Liner does not project into bore. Plate for L0 for G tone-hole with an intonation key to optimise the `throat' register; additional side key combined with throat A♭ to perfect the throat A♭-A♮ trill, and additional trill key for throat A-B♮ respectively B♭-C♮ for L2. Additional B♮₃/F♯₅ lever for L4 to enable the player to trill A♯₃-B♮₃ (or overblown). Alternative G♯₃/E♭₅ lever for L4. Lower section: alternative E₃/B♮₄ and F♯₃/C♯₅ touchpieces for R0 and F₃/C₅ key for R4 on end pivot. Levers for L4 guided in fusiform swelling. Rack and pinion for expanding the joints. Levers mounted in rings on the keyheads to be flexible. Adjustable hinge key for F₃/C₅. All tenons are strengthened with silver. The holes have silver bushes. Body pinned to prevent cracking. L0: Plate; speaker. L1: T; throat A♮; throat A♭. L2: T; additional side throat A♮; trill key for throat A-B♮ and B♭-C. L3: T; E♭₄/B♭₅. L4: C♯₄/G♯₅; E₃/B♮₄; F♯₃/C♯₅; B♮₃/F♯₅; G♯₃/E♭₅. R0: E₃/B♮₄; F♯₃/C♯₅. R1: T; side F₄/C₆; side trill key for throat A-B♮ and B♭-C. R2: T. R3: T; B♭₃/F♮₅. R4: B♮₃/F♯₅; F₃/C₅; G♯₃/E♭₅. Keymount type: plate-mounted pillars and screws. Keyhead type: saltspoon. Overall size: In B♭, 633, 590 to top of barrel; in A, 707, 629 to top of barrel. Bore: piece de rechange in A: at C₄ hole 14.8, in Bb: at C₄ hole 15.1; at F₃ hole 15.2. Stamped on lower section bottom part with monogram / "INNOVEE / PAR / . SIMIOT / A LYON" / sunburst / "SIb"; stamped shorter upper section main part "2" and "INNOVEE / PAR / . SIMIOT / A LYON" and "SIb"; stamped on shorter `barrel' and bell with sunburst / .
