Technical description: Chromium-plated brass. Amado water-key on first bow; conventional water-key on piston v.t.s. Valve type: One rotary for R0, with plastic buffers on top cap, lowering one semitone, mounted on main tuning-slide. One Périnet for L0, bottom sprung; alignment by key on piston, lowering two semitones. Serial number: 010465. Overall Size: 599; bell 255. Sounding length: minimum 3228. Bore: at c 32mm from mouthpiece receiver (minimum bore), 10.5; m.t.s. at c 593mm from mouthpiece receiver, tuning slide bore 14.15; centre of piston valve at c 1128mm from mouthpiece receiver, v.t.s. bore 14.15; 1614mm from bell end, c 17.2; c 1130mm from bell end, 24.3. B = 0.50. Dia of mouthpiece receiver: m.r.t. 12.1 10.95. Inscribed on bell "ULTRATONE / F.E. OLDS & SON / FULLERTON, CALIF."; on side of piston valve casing "010465".
