DescriptionTechnical description: Ivory with internal and external brass sleeves on shank forming backbore and taper; medium rim contour; maximum bite curvature 2.25; hemispherical cup shape; sharp-edged throat. Cup volume 7413; shape quotient 1.332. Overall size: length 92.2; external diameter 38.6. Sounding length: cup depth 26.5; grain length 15; backbore length 50. Bore: cup diameter 25.2; minimum diameter 5.2. Depth of taper: shank depth 46.0. Diameter of taper: maximum 14.1; minimum 12.2. No inscriptions. Allocated with and possibly formerly used with serpent in C (1006).
