DescriptionBrass. Circular form; four coils; no tuning facility. One tone-hole at about 1240mm from mouthpiece. With the hole covered, the instrument stands in F; use of the finger-hole allows the instrument to play diatonic scale in B♭. Inscribed "A. Schürrlein / Nürnberg". Decorative features: No garland. With blue and white braided cord, probably not original. Usable pitch: plays at a high pitch, c A4 = 459.5 Hz. Performance characteristics: Notes with finger hole open are slightly flat. |
