Bore: at c 30mm from mouthpiece receiver (minimum bore), 11.5; at 492mm from bell end, c 18.2; at c 293mm from bell end, 25.7; at 120mm from bell end, c 41.6.
Dia of mouthpiece receiver: m.r.t. 12.5 11.6.
Technical description: Brass with plain garland. Keywork for 4th key unusually arranged for operation by R0. Ligature tuning at mouthpiece with 12 fixed detent positions at spacings of c 7mm.
Keyhead type: flat round.
Inscribed on garland "CHARLES KRETZSCHMANN / A STRASBOURG".
Tuning slide stuck. All pads missing. Dent and hole on main tube bottom loop, inadequately repaired.
Key removed and re mounted on a bridge to cover same tone hole. Keywork for 5th key repaired with soft solder.
