Bore: mouthpipe at c 60mm from mouthpiece receiver (minimum bore) 10.1; m.t.s. at c 295mm from mouthpiece receiver; centre of 3 valve cluster at c 577mm from mouthpiece receiver, piston port bore (1,2,3) 13.3; 4th valve at c 837mm from mouthpiece receiver, piston port bore (4) 14.5; 1318mm from bell end, c 22.1; c 982mm from bell end, 31.2. B = 0.43. Dia of mouthpiece receiver: m.r.t. 12.5 11.9. Inscribed on embossed circular plaque on side of bell "PELITTI / MILANO" with crest in centre; on side of valve casings "1", "2", "3", (not "4"). Repair History: Bell flange crumpled and cracked. Several serious dents in tubing. Touchpiece of 4th valve missing. Usable pitch: A4 = c 440 Hz. Performance characteristics: Good tone in spite of dents, but poor intonation. |
