Barrel with tuning slide. Tenon and sockets lined with german silver. No tube in thumb hole. Straight speaker. Barret action. Long tailed throat A♭. All tone-holes lined with ebonite. Covered finger-holes (R2 + R3) to be compared with Spencer's model. Clinton system with articulated C♯₄/G♯₅ to enable better legato. C sharp mechanism. 13 keys, 2 plates, 3 rings, 4 ebonite rollers. L0: T; speaker. L1: T; throat A♮. L2: T + ring; throat A♭. L3: T + ring; cross E♭₄/B♭₅. L4: C♯₄/G♯₅; E₃/B♮₄; F♯₃/C♯₅. R1: Plate; Barret action; side trills 1-2. R2: Plate.
