DescriptionOverall size: length 587 without mouthpiece. Bore: bell 26.4. Dia of mouthpiece receiver: m.r.t. 9.2 7.8. Technical description: Epoxy resin. 7 finger holes; all holes appear to have been re positioned at some time, previously about 10mm further from mouthpiece end. Inscribed "C.W. MONK / PROV PAT NO 11418 68" with cruciform indent maker's mark. Fitted wooden case with canvas covering, by C.W. Monk. Chip out of near end. Mouthpieces fit loosely. General literature references: Patent for resin cornett of 8.3.68. Purchased by lender with and supplied by manufacturer with mouthpieces (625) and (626); mouthpiece (826) made for this instrument; mouthpiece (3202) subsequently purchased by lender for use with this instrument. |
