Cup volume 926; shape quotient 1.206. Overall size: length 87; external diameter 27.0. Sounding length: cup depth 8. Bore: cup diameter 16.0; minimum diameter 3.7. Depth of taper: shank depth 43.7. Diameter of taper: maximum 11.9; minimum 10.0. Stamped on side of cup "VINCENT BACH CORP" and "7D". General literature references: Described in maker's brochure as `Shallower cup than the 7 C; designed principally for D trumpet can be used successfully in dance orchestras where a snappy tone, great brilliance, and an easy high register are required. An ideal mouthpiece for players specialising in "hot" music or circus work, offering great endurance. This is the model that will enable you the "shoot the fireworks" in the extreme high register'.
