DescriptionOverall size: 1167, tuning slide in. Bore: tuning slide at mouthpiece 10.0, middle joint 13.8. Dia of mouthpiece receiver: m.r.t.: 11.0 10.9. Technical description: Straight; brass, with ligature joint in middle of stem. Ligature tuning at mouthpipe, tenon length 85. Mouthpiece receiver is almost parallel, unlike the external taper of the original mouthpiece. Two rings for suspended banner. No inscriptions. Usable pitch: Plays in C at A₄ = c 440 Hz. Performance characteristics: Tuning-slide lowers pitch nearly one semitone. Supplied by manufacturer with mouthpiece (2646). |
