Description1 valve. According to the firm's archives [instruments books], the instrument was model 3125, made in a batch of eleven. Technical description: Silver-plated brass; two water-keys and fitting for music card holder. The one valve, which lowers the nominal pitch to 14-ft D, can be operated by R0 while the right hand holds the instrument. Valve type: 1 Périnet valve, bottom sprung; alignment by key on piston. Overall size: 542; bell 167. Bore: m.t.s. 12.5; Dia of mouthpiece receiver: m.r.t. 12.1 - 11.1. Stamped on bell front: "MADE BY / Boosey & Hawkes Ltd / London. / MADE IN ENGLAND / B / BUGLE / V"; stamped on side of bell: "L.P. / 262215". Specific usage history: Made for the Canadian market. |
