Overall size: 517; bell 120. Sounding length: minimum 1343. Bore: at c 22mm from mouthpiece receiver (minimum bore), 10.2; descending slide, 10.3; ascending slide, 10.7; m.t.s. proximal bore, 11.6; m.t.s. distal bore, 13.3; at c 232mm from bell end, 15.1; at 19.4mm from bell end, 60.2. B = 0.75. Bell cutoff = 1400 Hz. Dia of mouthpiece receiver: m.r.t. 11.0 - 10.3. Stamped on bell "UNIVERSELLE / EXPOSITION DE PARIS / 1900 / HORS CONCOURS / MEMBRE DU JURY / COUESNON & CIE. / FOURNISSEURS / DES BEAUX-ARTS / CONSERVATOIRE NATIONAL / ET DE L'ARMEE / 94 RUE D'ANGOULÈME / PARIS / MONOPOLE / 40763" / and in floral motif "25". Performance characteristics: Tuning-slide in: 7th position sharp, hardly usable. Pulling tuning-slide out 53 mm puts instrument into A. Usable pitch: A⁴ = c 440 Hz with mouthpiece (1287). Purchased by lender with, probably formerly used with and possibly supplied by manufacturer with mouthpiece (1287).
