Technical description: silver-plated brass; water-keys on 4th v.t.s. and m.t.s.; loop for RH thumb. Valve type: 4 Périnet valves, bottom sprung; alignment by key on piston. Repair History: The mouthpipe (up to 235mm from start, but not the mouthpiece receiver or ferrule) is a replacement by Stewart Benzie 1999 of the previous mouthpipe, in turn a crude replacement of smaller bore than the original. The valve buttons and 4th valve top cap are probably replacements.

Inscribed on bell "MADE BY / C. G. CONN / ELKHART / IND."; on sides of valve casings "1", "2", "3", "4"; on 2nd valve "131490".
Decorative features: Foliage embellishment around inscription on bell, originally with a gilt effect on this area.
Plating partially worn off.
