Overall size: 666; bell 196 200. Sounding length: minimum in Bb 2599. Bore: mouthpipe at c 40mm from mouthpiece receiver (minimum bore) 12.4; centre of valve cluster at c 434mm from mouthpiece receiver, v.t.s. bore (1,2,3) 13.5; m.t.s. at c 577mm from mouthpiece receiver, tuning slide bore 13.5; m.t.s. (for Bb) at c 1077mm from mouthpiece receiver, tuning slide bore 13.5; 1300mm from bell end, c 16.7; c 1099mm from bell end, 23.6. B = 0.56 (in Bb). Dia of mouthpiece receiver: wide mouthpiece receiver, m.r.t. 13.6 - 12.8. Inscribed on applied silver plaque on bell, surmounted by double headed eagle "Josef Jarkowsky / Instrumenten Fabrik / Neulerchenfeld / Grundsteingasse 28 / Wien"; on bell garland "Wilhelm Köck". Decorative features: Ornate bottom caps on valves. Repair History: Probable original C tuning slide (air column length probably c 300mm shorter than Bb slide) missing.
