The screw-mechanism, rounded, ebony frog has mother-of-pearl decorative eyes with a metal decorative eye ring, a mother-of-pearl slide, a metal ferrule with a wooden ferrule wedge, a metal heelplate, and a metal underslide. The screw eye is brass. The ebony button is covered by nickel, has a mother-of-pearl button eye and is octagonal with a rim.
