DescriptionTechnical description: Black wood with german silver ferrules and keywork. Five pieces: mouthpiece, barrel, upper section, lower section, bell. Ebonite mouthpiece marked for a ligature is a later addition made by Penzel-Mueller. Device for a music card holder. 17 keys, 6 rings.

With original brown leather case lined with blue plush. Metal plaque on lid "PENZEL, MUELLER & CO.Inc. / Musical Instrument Makers / SINCE 1882 LONG ISLAND CITY, N.Y.". Also in case: a leather cleaner.
Cork on mouthpiece tenon damaged. Keywork corroded. Ring mechanism on lower section loose. Correspondance between upper and lower section broken. The mouthpiece is a replacement.
