DescriptionTechnical description: Brass. Leadpipe enters 3rd valve casing at 45° right of front; 3rd valve loop leaves from left and returns to front; bellpipe exits 1st valve casing at the left. With double water-key with single touchpiece. Shanks for B♭ and A, crook for A♭. Valve type: 3 Périnet valves, top-sprung with spring outside stem; alignment by key on piston. Maker: Gisborne. Playing accessories: With music card holder. With black leather case. Music card holder fitting screw missing. Usable pitch: Old Philharmonic pitch; slides draw sufficiently to allow use at low pitch. Purchased by lender with and possibly formerly used with mouthpiece (1611).
