DescriptionTechnical description: brass with german silver trim, including plain garland; arranged for valve operation by the right hand; 1st and 2nd valves compensating with respect to 3rd but with unconventioanl fingering: 1st, 2nd, 3rd operated singly, also 1st and 2nd in combination give the usual notes; 1st and third valves in combination lower pitch four semitones, the compensation tubing of the 1st valve is ascending; 2nd and third valves in combination lower pitch five semitones, the compensation tubing of the 2nd valve is descending; (all three in combination not used). With water-key and fitting for music card holder. Valve type: 3 rotary valves, cork buffers on rotor; the 1st and 2nd with longer rotors to accommodate double effect. |
