DescriptionTechnical description: Boxwood; 4 sections; silver key; 4 ivory ferrules and large ivory cap; circular embouchure-hole. Keymount type: ring; SATK. Keyhead type: flat square, curved to fit contours of instrument and seated almost flush with surface. Repair History: Embouchure-hole enlarged, probably at a later date. Overall size: 619mm Sounding length: embouchure to foot: 531mm Bore: conical Stamped "CAHUSAC / LONDON". Performance characteristics: Range D⁴ - A⁶. Warm sound, speaks easily; noisy key action. Usable pitch: A⁴ c 440 Hz (c 440 Hz). |
