Technical description: 2 coils; brass; ligature tuning slide gives the instrument liberal tuning from B_ to C. Two brass ferrules. Flared trumpet like bell. Mouthpiece receiver is almost parallel, unlike the external taper of the original mouthpiece. Inscribed on german silver plaque on bell "HONSUY". Usable pitch: Plays at A4 = c 440 Hz. Performance characteristics: 2nd natural note very flat. Supplied by manufacturer with mouthpiece (2344). |
