DescriptionOverall size: 315; bell 130. Sounding length: minimum 1148. Bore: centre of valve cluster at c 138mm from mouthpiece receiver, valve ports 10.9; 574mm from bell end, c 15.8; c 403mm from bell end, 22.3. Dia of mouthpiece receiver: m.r.t. 11.5 11.0. Technical description: 2 coils, one of which is a circular loop at the distal bow; brass. Ligature tuning at mouthpipe. Two rings for cord; ring for chain to mouthpiece. Valve type: 3 Périnet valves. Valves bottom sprung, orientation by key on piston. Inscribed on embossed circular plaque on bell "PELITTI / MILANO" with crest in centre; on side of valve housings "1", "2", "3". Bell crumpled. Serious dents and cracks in bell section. Touchpiece of 1st valve missing. Stay between 2nd valve and bell section broken. Lent with and possibly formerly used with mouthpiece (3300). |
