DescriptionTechnical description: Ivory; round but extremely narrow rim contour; maximum bite curvature 0.75; hemispherical cup shape; sharp-edged throat. Cup volume 7990; shape quotient 1.569. Overall size: length 43; external diameter 32.8. Sounding length: cup depth 17. Bore: cup diameter 29.0; minimum diameter 6.5. Depth of taper: shank depth 14.9. Diameter of taper: shank not tapered, 13.5 with grooves for thread lapping, which is present. No inscriptions. Lent with, probably formerly used with and possibly supplied by manufacturer with serpent in C (3303).
