Technical description: Silver-plated with gold plated rim and cup; shallow cup; round rim contour; maximum bite curvature 2.5; shallow intermediate, almost hemispherical, cup shape with tapered throat having minimum bore at c 7mm beyond bottom of cup; maximum throat curvature 6. Cup volume 897; shape quotient 1.188. Overall size: length 86.6; external diameter 26.6. Sounding length: cup depth 9. Bore: cup diameter 16.4; minimum diameter 3.8. Depth of taper: shank depth 42. Diameter of taper: maximum 11.7; minimum 9.7. Stamped on side of cup "VINCENT BACH CORP., NEW YORK 10C". General literature references: Described in maker's brochure as `Shallow C cup, especially designed for high notes and sparkling brilliancy; easy response in all registers and a great boon to players whose lips need support'.
