DescriptionTechnical description: Silver conical bore trumpet in 4 telescoping sections, with 7 brass `bracelets'; joints connected by silver rings and bracelets (section 3 has a false joint), each bracelet is decorated with embossed designs; hanging ring at bell end; shallow cup mouthpiece; bell diameter 118mm; mouthpiece diameter 42mm. Dung chen, literally, "great trumpet," are made from several different materials and are typically identified by association with those materials, including brass (rag dung), copper (zangs dung) and silver (dngul dung).
