Technical description: Soundboard of wide-grained spruce, joined in the centre. Tie-bridge glued to the soundboard, 153mm long and 16mm wide where the strings are tied, 35.5mm wide at bottom part. Brass rose attached to the top of the soundboard, 77.5mm diameter. Purfling around the soundhole painted, featuring a red and white rose garland, with the maker's details in a banner at the top. Similar painted garland around the edge of the soundboard with a wide light green painted band at the edge, and a thinner black band next to it. There are black painted mustachios at either end of the bridge. Back and sides of figured maple, the sides of one piece, the back two pieces, bookmatched and joined in the centre. There is an ivory endpin at the bottom of the sides. Painted decoration imitating a riveted brass band around the top and bottom of the sides, and around the back near the edges. Black-painted neck. First pegbox has seven pegs, and the second pegbox six strings. The strings for the second pegbox are in a higher plane past the first nut. Pegs of rosewood. Nuts of ivory. Neck 230mm long, 63.5mm wide at nut, 78 at body join. Raised fingerboard of ebony. Twelve metal frets. Holes for a capotasto through the first six fret spaces. Repair History: One peg is a crude replacement.
