DescriptionThis boxwood B flat Fife (nominal pitch A flat) is in one section with a brass ferrule at each end. It is stamped “ASTOR / LONDON with a unicorn head halfway down the body. The overall length is 411mm. There are no keys. The embouchure is small and oval and is slightly out of alignment with the finger holes. It is 329mm from the foot.
Performance characteristics: Range D⁴ - A⁶ diatonically (sounding B♭⁴ - F⁷). Strong, clear sound.
Usable pitch: Sounding A⁴ c 445 Hz (c 445 Hz). |
