There is no inward flange at the base of the bell. System: 9 keys L0: 8. L1: T. L2: T. L3: TT. L4: G♯. R0:, R1: T; B♭; C. R2: T. R3: T; F. R4: low C; F♯; C♯; E♭. Keymount type: blocks. Keyhead type: Saltspoon. Stamped on the upper and middle sections with a fleur-de-lys / "D'ALMAINE & CO."; and on the bell with a fleur-de-lys with festoons of leaves / "D'ALMAINE & CO. / LATE / GOULDING & D'ALMAINE / 104 / NEW BOND STREET / LONDON". Usuable pitch: A = 430 Hz Performance characterics: because of missing pad, few notes are playable, but these are firm with precise response and an open tone quality. |
