DescriptionTechnical description: The octagonal, concave pernambuco stick ends in a modern head with an ivory headface. The open, screw-mechanism, rounded, ivory frog is slightly transparent and the mortise and end of the screw eye are visible from the outside. The ivory button is octagonal with a rim. Measurements: Weight: 31g. Hair length: 380mm. Balance point: 172.5mm. Head height: 24.5mm. Head width:10.05mm. Face length: 22.75mm. Tip diameter: 6.05mm. Frog diameter: 7.75mm. Nipple range: 1.135mm to 1.155mm. Period of oscillation: 1.11. Distance from pivot to tail: 55.9mm. Button length: 12.3mm. Ferrule width: 9.4mm. Frog + stick height: 22.0mm. Frog top length: 40.2mm (measured with pieces missing). Repair History: The head has been altered from its original state and the headface has been replaced. Inscription: "742" is pencilled on the thumb side of the head. The headface is cracked from the top of the mortise on the finger side. The button is split and stained. There are pieces missing from the frog at the front on the thumb side and at the back on the finger side. The bow stick is worn where it was held.
