Technical description: 6½ coils; yellow brass with german silver mouthpiece receiver ferrule; inside of bell painted black. Metal construction: mouthpipe, 8 intermediate segments and bell, overlapping joints except last (brass ferrule); single gusset in bell, plain garland, width 28. Inscribed on bell garland "FRANÇOIS PERINET RUE COPERNIC 31 PRES L'ARC DE L'ETOILE A PARIS"; stamped on bell 78mm from edge: emblem surmounted by crown flanked by sceptres and banners / "BREVETE". There is a neat oval patch 12 19 on bell segment c 400 from end. Usable pitch: Plays c 10 cents below A4 = 440 Hz.
