Description3 valves. Technical description: Brass; two coils; wired bell rim; german silver ferrules, stay mounts and mechanism. Fitting for music card-holder. Valve type: 3 rotary valves; cork buffers mounted on rotor spindles. Overall size: 410; bell 136. Sounding length: minimum 1985. Bore: mouthpipe at c 30mm from mouthpiece receiver (minimum bore) 10.95; centre of valve cluster at c 192mm from mouthpiece receiver, v.t.s. bore (1,2,3) 11.6; m.t.s. at c 522mm from mouthpiece receiver, tuning slide bore 11.6; at 993mm from bell end, c 11.8; at c 434mm from bell end, 16.7; at 15.9mm from bell end, 82.7. B = 0.74. Bell cutoff = 1300 Hz. Dia of mouthpiece receiver: m.r.t. 11.6 - 11.2. Inscribed on bell "KONRAD WEIDLICH / REGENSBURG". Inscribed on underside of each key touch "30". With black shaped case. Performance characteristics: 2nd and 3rd natural notes are quite flat compared to higher natural notes. Up to 8th natural note is comfortable to play. Usable pitch: Plays c 25 cents above A⁴ = 440 Hz with mouthpiece (2374); tuning-slide draws to allow use at Diapason Normal.
