Bore: first and second m.t.s. 11.6; v.t.s. 11.6. Dia of mouthpiece receiver: m.r.t. of short shank 9.7 / 9.3; of long shank 9.2 8.3. External taper of short shank 11.1 11.9; of long shank 11.2 12.0. Inscribed on bell "The Clippertone / EXCELSIOR SONOROUS / CLASS A / HAWKES & SON / Denman Street / Piccadilly Circus / LONDON / 47907"; on side of 2nd valve casing "HAWKES & SON / LONDON / 9"; on sides of valve casings, top and bottom caps and stems "10", "11", "12". Decorative features: floral embellishment around inscription on bell. with original fitted wooden case, covered in brown leather. Inscription underneath tray in case "THE ''H & S'' CORNET CASE / MADE BY / HAWKES & SON, LONDON". Given with and possibly formerly used with mouthpiece (4415) and trumpet mouthpiece adapter (4416).
