ProvenanceBought new by donor from Besson & Co for 17/6d, the price including a post-horn mouthpiece but not a case, in 1935 or 1936. The donor played cornet with the City of Edinburgh Band 1932-79; the Edinburgh and Leith Post Office Military Band (a civilian `military' band) 1933-50, and was principal cornet in the Regimental Band of the Royal Scots (based at Glencorse Barracks) 1940-46. ; Gift of Archibald A.
