DescriptionThe prototype of Model 747 in the Buffet Crampon factory (2003) is the same design as this instrument.
Technical description: brass, 5½ coils; tuning-slide; three rings for attaching banner; ring at mouthpipe for attaching mouthpiece chain.

Bore: at c 45mm from mouthpiece receiver (minimum bore), 13.1; not expanding in 100 mm from mouthpiece receiver; m.t.s. at c 1130mm from mouthpiece receiver, tuning slide bores 15.3 - 17.2; at 4178mm from bell end, c 18.7; at c1029 mm from bell end, 26.45. B = 0.64.
