DescriptionTechnical description: Fruitwood with horn ferrules and brass keys. Six pieces: mouthpiece, barrel, upper section, middle section for the fingers of the right hand, lower section with keys, bell. Mouthpiece dark wood, with short table but not grooved. Barrel long (73mm) and bulbous. Upper section: key rings rectangular, ring for A♮ key recessed for touch of speaker; speaker liner projects to centre of bore. Middle section has no thumb rest. Lower section: levers for L4, tone-hole and key for R4 mounted in a fusiform swelling. Bell short, sharply flared, with integral wooden rim; ferrules horn, mottled on bell, others dark, half-round on bell and middle section, flat with rims on lower section and barrel.
