Probably original ebonite mouthpiece with a ligature. Curved speaker with chimney on front of instrument. Long tailed throat A♭ indicates that the instrument was made for the British market. Barret action. R1 tone-hole through tenon of upper section. Plate for R2. Ring for R3. C sharp mechanism. All tenons and sockets lined with german silver. 13 keys, 3 rings, 1 plate, 4 ebonite rollers. L0: T; speaker. L1: T; throat A♮. L2: T + ring; throat A♭. L3: T + ring; cross E♭₄/B♭₅. L4: C♯₄/G♯₅; E₃/B♮₄; F♯₃/C♯₅. R1: T; Barret action (F₄/C₆; E♭₄/B♭₅); side trill 1-2. R2: Plate. R3: T + spectacle (forked B♭₃/F♮₅); cross B♭₃/F♮₅. R4: G♯₃/E♭₅; F₃/C₅. Keyhead type: modern.
