DescriptionTechnical description: Brass; narrow fitting; round rim contour; maximum bite curvature 1.25; cuspoid cup shape. Cup volume 4071; shape quotient 0.891. Overall size: length 61.9; external diameter 23.4. Sounding length: cup depth c 55. Bore: cup diameter 16.9; minimum diameter 6.0. Depth of taper: shank tapers smoothly to join rim of cup. Diameter of taper: minimum 6.7. No inscriptions. Probably purchased with and probably supplied by manufacturer with sectional french horn (490).
