DescriptionTechnical description: Boxwood with ivory and brass ferrules and brass keywork. Five pieces: mouthpiece, barrel, upper section, lower section, bell. Brass tube in thumb-hole. Cocus wood mouthpiece grooved for cord. Side R1 F₄/C₆ also for L2. Cross L3 E♭₄/B♭₅ also for R1. End pivoted F₃/C₅. Pinned for strength. Integral wooden bell rim. Shaped thumb rest. 15 keys, 4 brass rollers.
L0: T; speaker.
L1: T; throat A♮; throat A♭.
L2: T; cross F₄/C₆.
L3: T; cross E♭₄/B♭₅.
L4: C♯₄/G♯₅; E₃/B♮₄; F♯₃/C♯₅.
R1: T; side E♭₄/B♭₅; side F₄/C₆; side trill key for throat A-B♮ and B♭-C.

Keymount type: saddles with screws, pillars on plate.

Repair History: Instrument covered with clear varnish. Parts cannot be separated, because they are glued. Restored. |
