Leadpipe enters 3rd valve casing at the right; 3rd valve loop leaves from 15° left of front and returns to 15° left of front; bellpipe exits 1st valve casing at 30° left of back. With single water-key. With shank for B♭. Valve type: 3 Périnet valves, top-sprung with spring outside stem; alignment by key on piston. `Solbron' bronze valve pistons. Maker: Boosey and Co. London. 1920. Serial number: instrument 107384; valves 83291. According to the firm's archives [instrument books], the instrument was "Bb Cornet" Model A6 made by Kensit in a batch of 12. Overall size: 328. Sounding length: overall air column length of shank 88.0. Bore: m.t.s. 11.6, v.t.s. (3,2,1) 11.5; bell 118.
