Bore: mouthpipe at c 20mm from mouthpiece receiver (minimum bore) 10.7; at 658mm from bell end, c 11.0; at c 319mm from bell end, 18.4; at 16.1mm from bell end, 77.3. B = 0.73. Bell cutoff = 1200 Hz.
Dia of mouthpiece receiver: m.r.t. 10.8 (hardly tapered).
Usable pitch: Built in Old Philharmonic pitch, but playable at A⁴ 440 Hz by drawing slide out 65 mm.
Probably formerly used with and possibly supplid by manufacturer with mouthpiece (1863). |
