Description1 valve. Technical description: brass. Valve lowers pitch to 14-ft D. Long main tuning-slide, giving c 218mm extension in each leg; 2 water-keys; (no fitting for music card holder); two rings for banner or sling. Valve type: 1 Périnet valve, bottom sprung; alignment by key on piston. Piston locking ring on valve top cap, locking either up or down. Overall size: 592; bell 153. Bore: m.t.s. 12.3; (no v.t.s.). Dia of mouthpiece receiver: m.r.t. 12.0 - 11.2. Inscribed on bell "MADE BY / FRANK HOLTON & CO / ELKHORN. WIS."; on side of valve casing "189827". Purchased by lender with and possibly formerly used with mouthpiece (4583). |
