DescriptionTechnical description: Blackwood with silver plated german silver ferrules and keywork. Five pieces: mouthpiece, wooden angled barrel, upper section, lower section, upturned metal bell. Named original mouthpiece. Patent automatic throat B♭ mechanism: speaker key depressed alone opens upper speaker tone-hole. Speaker key depressed with throat A key upper tone-hole is closed from A, lower opened. (See Graessel). Plates on L3, and on RH section. C sharp mechanism. Vent hole close to lower tenon of lower section. 18 keys, 2 rings, 4 plates, 4 black rollers. L0: T; speaker. L1: T + ring + vent; throat A♮; throat A♭. L2: T + ring + vent; alternative cross key for F₄/C₆. L3: Plate; cross E♭₄/B♭₅. L4: C♯₄/G♯₅; E₃/B♮₄; F♯₃/C♯₅. R0: E♭₃; D₃; C♯₃; C₃.
