DescriptionSilver-plated brass. Ligature tuning at mouthpipe, overall length of tuning shank, 91mm. Valve type: 3 rotary valves in triangular formation with touchpieces simulating pistons. String action. Cork buffers on valve top caps. Repair History: The tuning shank is possibly a replacement. Performance characteristics: Plays easily throughout range. Good tone in middle register. Usable pitch: Plays c.50 cents above A⁴ 440 Hz, but tuning shank allows tuning to 440. |
