DescriptionTechnical description: Silver. With shanks for B♭ and A, crook for A♭, tuning bit. Valve type: 3 Périnet valves, top-sprung with compression spring inside annular chamber in stem, alignment by three-armed washer under spring engaging with three unequal channels in the inside of the valve casing. Engraved on bell "ANTOINE COURTOIS / BREVETÃ / Facteur du Conservatoire Impérial / 88 Rue des Marais St. Martin / PARIS / Medailles 1re. classe / aux Expositions universelles Paris 1855 Londres 1862 / MEDAILLE D'HONNEUR / EN ARGENT / Exposition universelle / PARIS 1867" and, below, "S.A.
