Electrics: Working. Appear original.
Hardware: Appear original. Spilt single-coil two-piece pickup encased with metal cover that has some wear. The split pickup is to widen the tonal range for deep low bass to bright treble. Bridge is separate from pickups and has no metal cover. Two metal knobs for volume and tone control respectively. Four metal strap buttons, one in middle of bottom rim of guitar, one on the left upper curve of the body, one on the front of the headboard near the 3rd tuner and the other on the back of the headboard near the back of the tuners. Black plastic thumb rest mounted below the strings on the treble side of the guitar.
Body: Solid body in natural refinish with 4 ply tortoiseshell pick guard. Light ageing with wear and discolouring around the edges. Small chips on top right cutaway and on the right-hand side of the body near to the two knobs.
Fretboard: Rosewood slab board. 9 clay dot inlays in fretboard positioned with fretboard positioned with one dot in 2nd, 4th, 6th, 12th. 14th, 16th, 18th and two dots in the 9th fret. 16th fret dot is lighter coloured than the others.
Neck: Maple, refinish, “C”-shaped neck. Small dot inlays on left edge of neck, mirroring location of dots on fretboard. Some marks and scuffs.
Frets: 20 frets.
Strings: 4 metal strings. All strings are pulled straight over the nut.
Headstock: All the tuners are on one side of the headstock.
Mechanism: The knob closest to the neck always controls master volume and the second knob controls master tone.
Signature: Silver “Fender” transfer on headstock. “Precision Bass” transfer sits just below “Fender” transfer on headstock and is written in all caps.
Serial number: 56677 stamped into top of metal plate screwed at the base of the back of the neck.
