DescriptionTechnical description: Brass; gusset in bell; wired bell rim; blade slide bow guard mount; slide with stockings. The tuning mechanism is a 148mm-long straight connector between the slide and bell sections with adjustable depth of insertion into the bell section (cylindrical joint with ligature screw restraint) and tapered socket to receive a tapered tenon on the slide section. This mechanism is known from other British trombones of the period. Repair History: The water-key and the slide bow guard mount are probably later additions. |
