DescriptionTechnical description: Silver-plated brass. Tuning by adjustable shank and crooks with ligature restraint on receiver. Long valve casings without balusters. With water-key on B♭ crook and on tube connecting the 1st and 3rd valves; with fitting for music-card holder. Originally with a tuning-shank for E♭ and tuning-crooks for C, B♭ and A. Valve type: 3 Périnet type valves each with alternative loops, the shorter without tuning-slides and the longer in play when operated; the longer valve tuning-slides thus made it possible to accommodate crooking from E♭ to A. Repair History: The fitting for music-card holder is a replacement; the crook for B♭ lacks engraving and may be a replacement. |
